GREATER PEORIA AREA SCHOLASTIC CHESS TOURNAMENT

This tournament is an official United States Chess Federation(USCF) Swiss System Scholastic event for individuals in four sections. We will use 5 tiebreakers: Solkoff, Modified Median, Sonneborn-Berger, Performance of Opposition, and Average Opposition.

 Rd1 9:30   Rd2 Asap    Rd3 Asap   Rd4 Asap   Awards Asap 4 Rounds, Game 30 time control         

Players divided in two sections; Eligibility Pre K to 8^th

Prizes: Individual  trophies. Trophies to the top 10 individuals in each section.  Upset trophy for each section (100 points or more). 1st and 2nd Nonrated Trophies per section. You must have a score of at least ½ point to get a trophy.

Check-in: From 8 to 9am. No new entries and no substitutions allowed on Saturday morning after 8:45am. This allows time for first round pairings. First round will start at 9:30am.  Other rounds and awards ASAP.

Entry Fee: $13 per player (payable at site, check or cash ok ). USCF membership required and can be purchased at site.

Directions: Take I-74 to War Memorial Drive (Rte. 150) exit left. Take War Memorial to Allen Road (pass Sterling). Turn Right on Allen Road. Turn left on Willow Knolls (two stop lights) Peoria Academy is on the right
